The CPU is Central Processing Unit and is basically the brains of the computer. It has no units.
I believe what your referring to is the process of which the CPU (Central Processing Unit) of it basically "pausing" and "resuming" applications.... That's a really bad answer but It is rather hard to explain.
The CPU IS the computers processing unit as CPU stands for "Central Processing Unit"
Central processioning unit.
The letters CPU stand for Central Processing Unit. A CPU is made up of the control unit, instruction decoding unit and an arithmeticlogic unit.
A CPU contains a control unit and an arithmetic/logic unit
Central Processor Unit --> CPU
basic organisatiions are input unit cpu and output unit
The Central Processing Unit (CPU)
The control unit coordinates all activities of a CPU. The other parts of a CPU are arithmetic logic unit and memory.
In general when speaking of computer hardware it is the CPU (central processing unit) also called the processor. As a whole unit though, it is a combination of the CPU, the Motherboard, RAM, and the operating system.
The computers "Brain" is known as the CPU (Central Proccessing Unit)
Excuse the previous answer as it was completely incorrect - CPU stands for Central Processing Unit.
