To check the pressure the fuel pump creates. You remove the cap, thread the pressure gage on and turn the Key to ON. On a 2003 the range is 48-54 psi

If 8th didget in vin# is a Z then pressure is--48 to 54 no lower and no higher. If it 's not a Z then pressure is 55 to 62 no lower and no higher.
The fuel pressure for a 94 Suzuki Intruder 1400 is between 40 and 48 psi. A fuel pressure gauge is needed to test the pressure.

Check your fuel pressure, it should be around 48 psi at the fuel rail. It sounds like your fuel pump is overheating.
Key on engine off is 48 to 54 psi.
VIN# Z should have 48 to 54 LBS. with key on and engine off. If it's higher then the fuel pressure regurlator is bad REPLACE. If it is not engine code Z in the VIN# then it should read 55 to 62 LBS. The engine code counting from the left will be the 8th character in the VIN#
