Levi Strauss was a tailor and made the first jeans in the CA gold rush. I don't think he analyzed myths. He just wanted a good pair of jeans that could hold up in the dirty wet conditions of the gold fields.

What are the biggest obstacles of Levi Strauss?

Well, the denim had to be imported all the way from France. And when he'd soak the jeans in the dye (to make the blue color!) he had to dry it on a clothing line because washing machines hadn't been invented yet in his time. This was a slow process and the jeans we're in extremely high demand.

How was Japans development influenced by its landforms?

Basically Japanese culture and determination for anything that stands in their way by analyzing problems and making wise decisions has put them where they are. Japan is a landlocked island, which also gave motivation to be that much better. And its closeness with China is simple, Japanese people > Chinese people in a lot of ways (mostly in military prowess and economic output), and Korea is simply a way smaller country with way less people and way less economically advanced. These are generally the reasons.

How did Isis the Egyptian goddess get her magical skill?

I have not come across any myths about Isis gaining magical powers. However, I know in very early myths, she was sometimes used synonymously with the Sumerian goddess Inana, who tricked her father (king of the gods) to grant her power. If I had to make a guess at an alternate way for Isis to attain powers, it was probably through a partnership with Thoth, the Egyptian god of wisdom, language and magic.
