PartnershipsInAction is an initiative of Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. (AKF USA) and its volunteers in communities across America to raise funds and awareness to help communities in some of the poorest areas of Africa and Asia create long-term solutions to poverty. The events give Americans an opportunity to actively take part in advancing human dignity and peace around the globe through volunteerism, awareness-raising and contributions. PartnershipsInAction represents AKF USA's growing portfolio of programs including Partnership Walk, Partnership Golf, corporate and professional networking events, film screenings, essay and art competitions, educational and schools outreach activities, among others.
Partnership Walk is a public event to raise awareness about how people can make a difference in ending global poverty. It promotes partnerships among Americans and people in the developing world. Since 1995, 40 Partnership Walks have been held in U.S., attracting thousands of participants and bringing a spark of hope to vulnerable families in Africa and Asia.
