HELP. What kind of transmission fluid for an auto 1998 neon?

"You *MUST* use type 7176 transmission fluid in all Chrysler-built automatic transmissions since the mid-70's. Dexron II and III are much more slippery than type 7176/ATF+3 and will cause shuddering during shifts. The latest version of the Mopar ATF is Mopar ATF+3 type 7176, which is what I would use. It is more heat resistant than the prior ATF+2 formula. Yes, there are aftermarket equivalents for the Mopar ATF+ auto trans fluid. The following fluids are among those known to meet Chrysler's MS7176D specs: Citgo ATF type 7176 Esso (Canada) ATF+2 Type 7176 Kendall Type 7176 ATF Quaker State 7176 ATF Pennzoil 7176ATF Texaco Texamatic Fluid CS 7176M Valvoline ATF for Chrysler Vehicles

How do you add transmission fluid to a 1999 BMW 328i?

there is a under the transmission is a pan with a drain plug and a fill plug in it, you will need a pump to get the fuild in because the fill plug is high up on the pan (hand soap pump will work but may take sometime) oh! by the way only add the same atf that it is labeled on the pan the code is as follows for that yr/make Orange sticker: Dexron III Yellow sticker: Texaco ETL 7045E Green sticker: Texaco ETL 8072B Blue sticker: Esso 71141LT do not mix or add a fluid other then the one in the pan and You may want to get!!! a Seal for the upper Plug (fill plug) because there is a very good chance it will brake apart from (dry root) when you take out the plug if you want to change the fluid you will need to take out the second pan there are two and you will need two Gaskets and two Seals for the Drain and Fill Plug and is it's a good idea to change filter too at this point
