There are several principles of community development, which include: Empowerment: Community development should aim to empower individuals and communities to take control of their lives and make decisions that affect them. Participation: Community development should be participatory, involving community members in decision-making processes and ensuring that their voices are heard. Equity: Community development should promote equity, ensuring that everyone has access to resources and opportunities regardless of their background or circumstances. Sustainability: Community development should be sustainable, ensuring that any changes or improvements made to the community can be maintained over time. Holistic approach: Community development should take a holistic approach, addressing social, economic, and environmental issues that affect the community. Therefore, the principle that is NOT part of the principles of community development is difficult to identify, as each principle is important and interconnected with others. However, some might argue that a "top-down" approach, where decisions are made by a small group of experts or professionals without the input or participation of the community, is not a part of community development. Rather, community development should prioritize a bottom-up approach that empowers community members and involves them in decision-making processes.
