DMM
The primary and secondary windings of a mutual transformer are electrically isolated, and should have 'infinite' resistance between them when measured appropriately (which depends on voltage ratings of the windings).
It does not matter, since the ohmmeter needs to be connected to the device in isolated mode. Series or parallel; they are both the same, in this case.
If you got a resistor then the resistance R of that thing can be measured in ohms. Use an ohm meter. If you got a battery then the voltage V of that thing can be measured in volts. USe an volt meter. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This was George Ohm's idea way back in 1827. Basically he found out that if you measure the potential(voltage) acrossed a conductor(non-changing) that the resulting value(in ohms) is proportional to it potential. Or in other words, V=IR. Since this equation has no exponents or coefficiants the isolated variable is always in proportiion to the other two. The word "ohm" means a measure of resistance or a measure of the difference is V/I.

Gate circuits should be isolated from the main power circuit to avoid any damage to the power circuit if gate is damaged.
soleus
Yes.
It checks resistance from a circuit or an electrical component to earth, to make sure it is electrically isolated. This must be a very high value of resistance, hence 'megohms'.
It was hard to communicate, people were isolated and travel was restricted.
wires may still be energized, delay until electrical system is isolated
No, it doesn't. After performing the Lactose fermentation test, the isolated colonies will turn yellow meaning that the test was negative.
If the ureters are not properly identified and isolated during surgical procedures, such as performing a hysterectomy, they can be inadvertently cut and damaged.

use a vomm set to infinite resistance if you have reistance one way and not the other way. diode is good (must be isolated from circuit) if no resistance both directions diode D.O.A.
The resistance to ground should be infinite, becouse its an isolated circuit. Any resistance to ground less than infinity would mean there is a short to ground.
