In 1986 the United States Mint, by an Act of Congress, authorized the minting of three different coins celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty. There was a $5 gold coin, a $1 silver coin and a $.50 silver coin. The $5 gold coin is now worth about $300 in 'proof' (sealed in its plastic container) condition. The $1 silver coin is worth about $20 proof, and the $.50 silver coin worth about $6 proof.

This is a American Silver Eagle 1 ounce bullion coin. The value is tied to the spot price of silver at the time of sale. As of 3-23-12 it's $31.82 per ounce. This price is a little less than you could buy it for and a little more than you could sell it for. But it gives you an idea of value. Collectors versions of this coin do have higher values.
NOTE: The spot price of silver and other precious metals changes by the minute when the market is open. So the value of this coin will go up and down.

Probably around $22-25 USD.
If you are referring to a large coin bearing a picture of Miss Liberty walking, you have a bullion piece sold for its metal content, and worth about $17 at current prices. The denomination of these pieces is artificial because they're sold as precious-metal investments, not for spending. OTOH if you're using the generic term "silver dollar" to refer to one of the small dollar coins carrying a picture of Sacagawea on the front, it's made of copper and manganese, and is worth face value only.
The value is only for the silver in the coin (1oz) cash value will be a little less than the spot price of silver at time of sale, so about $15.00
