No...!!! I did that to my other car and my other car started but my 1999 Volvo s80 ecm got burnt...the ecm computer brain cost me $800 plus $92 for the desk and $120 to re-program it...it coated me over $1,000.00. So the answer is noooooooooooooooo...!!!!
I have a 92 940 turbo as well My fuses are located behind the ashtray. If you lift up under neath the ashtray it should pop out and on the back it will tell which fuse it is I want to say 23? but I am not sure as I am not near my car.
The lamp just slips in and is held in place with a wee plastic clip. Look behind the light unit from inside the engine compartment and you'll see the clip, lift it up by using a screwdriver and the lamp just pulls out, I changed both of mine in five minutes.
