"Morgan dollar" is the name given to the design used on US silver dollars minted from 1878 to 1904 and in 1921. It comes from the coin's designer, George T. Morgan, who is considered to be one of the greatest artists to have created US Coins.
The front of the coin has a portrait of Miss Liberty facing to the left. The image is very similar to the one that's portrayed on the Statue of Liberty, which was designed at roughly the same time. The reverse has a spread-winged eagle carrying arrows and an olive branch.
