A chupacabra , is a mysterious creature in Mexico that drains the fluids from animals and allegedly has attacked people as well. Its name (originally chupacabras) is Spanish for "goat sucker."
It has various descriptions ranging from reptilian to bluish wolf-like creatures. In Mexican and Latin American folklore, the chupacabra has mystical or supernatural powers. In some cases, it has become connected to aliens, or other cryptids such as flying or shape-changing creatures.
There have been numerous hoaxes and misidentifications, and the existence of an actual species of creature currently has no scientific evidence to support it.
The most common description of Chupacabra is a reptile-like being, appearing to have leathery or scaly greenish-gray skin and sharp spines or quills running down its back. Stands approximately 3 to 4 feet (1 to 1.2 m) high, and stands and hops in a similar fashion to a kangaroo, one sighting claims the creature jumped about 20 feet... Said to have a dog or panther-like nose and face, a forked tongue, and large fangs. It is said to hiss and screech when alarmed, as well as leave behind a sulfuric stench. When it screeches, some reports assert that the chupacabra's eyes glow an unusual red which gives witnesses nausea. Another description of Chupacabra, although not as common, describes a strange breed of wild dog. This form is mostly hairless and has a pronounced spinal ridge, unusually pronounced eye sockets, fangs, and claws. It is claimed that this breed might be an example of a dog-like reptile. Unlike conventional predators, the chupacabra is said to drain all of the animal's blood (and sometimes organs) through a single hole or two holes.
It appears to be related to a goat.

There is more then one Chupacabra, dead or alive.
The Chupacabra doesn't eat anything, it survives purely from the blood of animals. Chupacabra means 'Goat Sucker.'
There are diffrent reasons WHY the chupacabra got its name. And i guess this is how to. The word chupacabra means " Goatsucker." The reason scientist gave is this name is because the chupacabra sucks the blood out of livestock including goats.
the chupacabra got its name from chupa sucker and cabra meaning goat so when you put them together you get chupacabra meaning goat sucker
"El dΓa del chupacabra estΓ‘ cerca" translates to "The day of the chupacabra is near." This phrase implies that an encounter with or sighting of the mythical chupacabra creature is imminent.
