Best Answer

A distribution tank would hold fluid, such as oil or gas. It is a centralized location where many shippers can draw the product from the tank for shipping to different areas. An oil supplier may ship across the country (example: from Texas refineries), or a supplier may have distribution tanks at local holding areas in many cities and States.

A gas station could be considered as having a distribution tank, although much smaller than the larger suppliers. Fuel is held in underground tanks to sell to the public.

The weight distribution is constant because fluids transmit pressure evenly.

Should septic tank inlet be above top of liquid?

Yes, it should. If the liquid level in the first settling tank has risen above the inlet, then that tank's outlet to the field or secondary tank has become plugged. Look into the end of the tank furthest away from house and see if you can see the outlet pipe and what is plugging it. Further away from this outlet, the pipe will enter a distribution box, try to find this and if water is not flowing into it, 'snake' it towards the tank.

Why doesn't an animal get shocked by a stock tank heater?

An animal does not get a shock from a stock tank heater because the heater is grounded back to the distribution panel. Any small tingle voltages will grounded so that the live stock does not become the grounding medium.

Why the tallah tank is placed so high?

The century old (1909) overhead steel tank is 1.34041 lakh square feet in area having a depth of 16 feet. It is the largest overhead tank in the world built by the British engineers. The massive water reservoir contains nine million gallons of filtered water and is placed 110 feet above the ground. In those days most of the buildings in the city were two or three storeys high. Besides, it was the first point of city's water supply distribution system. The unique feature of the tank is that no separate pipe lines for filling up and delivery. The pipe that fills the tank also used for delivery. Hence, the overhead tank serves role of balancing tank. When underground tank at Tallah is spilled over with the incoming supply from Pulta water works( 24 km upstream of Calcutta) the surplus water is stored in the overhead tank and again when the water level in the underground tank dwindles it compensates the for the loss due to distribution. It seems to be that in order to add pressure to the gravitational flow of the water the overhead tank was placed at a height.

What does the student's t-distribution refer to in statistics?

The Student's T- Distribution is a type of probability distribution that is theoretical and resembles a normal distribution. The Student T- Distribution differs from the normal distribution by its degrees of freedom.

Is normal distribution also a probability distribution?

Yes. When we refer to the normal distribution, we are referring to a probability distribution. When we specify the equation of a continuous distribution, such as the normal distribution, we refer to the equation as a probability density function.

Which distribution is used to find probabilities about the number of independent events occurring in a fixed time period with a known average rate?

The Poisson distribution. The Poisson distribution. The Poisson distribution. The Poisson distribution.

Distinguish between binomial distribution and normal distribution?

Normal distribution is the continuous probability distribution defined by the probability density function. While the binomial distribution is discrete.

Is continuous distribution normal distribution?
