Liberal Arts Universities are the best bet but they are usually private and more expensive than public universities. They have very good financial aid which often allows the cost to be comparably affordable if you can afford to go to a state university and live away from home. If you are a very good student, the fewer financial resources you have, the more likely you will be able to get enough aid to attend these universities. If you choose an out of state university, don't forget to factor in the cost of travel which is not included in your financial aid. Most people with liberal arts degrees usually consider graduate degrees after they have identified interests & abilities.
