Any protein drink can be consumed by just about any child or adult. Just remember that there's nothing very special or essential about protein drinks. You're entirely capable of getting all the protein you need from your diet alone. Also, without combining such additional dietary protein with a resistance training (weight lifting) exercise program, you aren't going to see any special results. Still, protein drinks might appeal to some who like the convenience of fast protein. Many protein drinks love to put statements about their "super muscle explosive" compounds and the like, but these claims have rarely been scientifically verified.

Insure it is just whey protein your buying though as some powders may have things in that would be dangerous to 14 year olds (mainly testosterone boosters)
