When a storm kite land it is called landfall.
An ocean going storm that doesn't touch land is often called a squall.
There was never a Tornado Helena. Tornadoes do not have names. There was a Tropical Storm Helena in 1963, but that storm stayed at sea and never affected land.

It's gone by a few names, actually. It was originally going to be called "Never Never Never Land", but J. M. Barrie (the author) trimmed it down to "Never Never Land" by the time the play was first staged. In the novel, he called it "the Neverland". Disney refers to it as "Never Land".

There was an L-named storm in 2017. It was Tropical Storm Lee. Lee was a rather weak tropical storm that never directly threatened land. As a result it did not receive much media attention.
