Local drug stores have ointments which will help a mosquito bite heal and itch less. There are many who claim heat helps and pressing them with their finger nails too.
Can you spray ammonia in the yard to prevent mosquitoes?
I don't know for a fact that it does but my hunch would be that it does. Ammonia is the active ingredient in what people often call "smelling salt" and when inhaled, it triggers a quite unpleasant reaction in any air breathing animal. I once let my cat smell some smelling salt and she turned and ran the other way. Also I was spelunking last week and it wasn't until I got into a cave and mosquitos swarmed me that I realized I forgot bug repellant. So, thinking quickly, I grabbed my stick of afterbite from my first aid kit (which contains a high amount of ammonia) and rubbed it on my arms and neck. Suffice to say I didn't smell great, however, I don't have a single bite. So my theory is that yes, ammonia can repel mosquitos.
Does toothpaste cure mosquito bites?
I've just been scratching my bites like crazy. I had 15 on one foot and 4 on the other and just had a 20 minute walk home during which I got another 9 or so... Couldn't stop scratching - and I'm especially sensitive, so they really swell up... So googled and found that tea tree oil and toothpaste relieve itchiness. Figured it can't hurt to try, so I put on my tea tree oil toothpaste (natural) and instant relief! Never had this in my life. No 'AfterBite' or any other 'Bite Relief Creams' ever worked for me...

Here are a few suggestions! 1.Fishing Pole w/ tackle box 2.Books 3.Something to play catch with 4.Playing Cards 5.Dominoes There is a few other necessities you will need to survive a trip in the woods. 1.One or two Lanterns 2.Firewood 3.Bug Spray 4.Flashlight 5.Camp stove or Grill for fire pit. (plus pots and pans!) 6. A Good Attitude! Camping can be hard! Make sure you show up at your camp spot when it's still light outside, because setting up a tent in the dark is near impossible; unless you know your tent really well. Minimalist camping may appear repetitive considering the fact that lots of people camp to get from our intensely materialist lifestyles. Nevertheless, considering most of the hiking equipment that's marketed at people who like to camp, it is feasible to end up hauling an alternative for nearly anything in your house and to conclude by setting-up a little-fortress away from home. Whereis in hauling material and all of your duties along with you, the enjoyment? Because it is about gear, minimalist camping is much about mindset, and permitting the area to just progress to oneself will be all's aspect.
