Atheism is the lack of any belief in deities or higher beings in a spiritual realm.

There's no real way to give an example of not believing in God or any gods as Atheists do not practice rituals or traditions to show disbelief.

Adding On:

An example of an atheist would be someone who generally doesn't believe in anything without evidence such as ghosts, hobbits, leprechauns, God, those kinds of things. But obviously as you can tell from the word aTHEIST, it is the opposite of theism, which is the belief in God, such as Catholics

Pascal's Wager (or Pascal's Gambit) could be considered an appeal to agnosticism. The French philosopher, mathematician, and physicist, Blaise Pascal suggested that even if the existence of God could not be determined through reason, a rational person should wager as though God exists, because living life accordingly has everything to gain and nothing to lose. Voltaire, writing a generation after Pascal, rejected the wager as "indecent and childish." Some have argued that Pascal's Wager could only ever be an argument for feigning belief, which is dishonest, the person remaining an agnostic at heart.

An agnostic is person who is "without confirming knowledge" of the existence or non-existence of a deity. There is nothing implicit in the term that the agnostic is attempting to change the status of his understanding one way or another, which leaves a wide range of potential "agnostic" positions.Using the Flying Spaghetti monster (FSM) the deity of the Pastafarians as an example. Most people are decidedly atheist on the topic (Stupid! There is no such thing), a few claim to be theist (Bless his noodles). The majority of the middle group are agnostic on the issue (Who knows and who cares)

Look at the next person standing near you. He or she could be an atheist. They are everywhere - cooking your food, fixing your car, being your boss, doctor, librarian. street person, neighbour, policeman, firefighter, world leader, or anything else. The rumour is that even some church leaders are closet atheist.

Theism. The doctrine or belief in the existence of a God or gods. Mormonism, Catholicism. Both believe in the existence of God.
