Considering the catigory im guessing you are asking What is an internal fan on a computer? A internal fan on a computer is just a fan than is required to keep eaither the whole system or a certain hardware cool during peak or idaling performace they are usally placed to work in 2 diffrent ways. Processor fans are mounted right on top the the processor heat sink witch is virtually glued to the processor. The heat sink directs the heat through vents and is pulled off the processor with a very fast fan. If this did not exist then the processor would not fuction with anywhere of 1 min to 5 mins of operation. thus would couse the processor to over heat and if it has a safety trigger will shut down if not will burn up. There are usally 2 to 3 other main fans in a computer the second most important is the case fan this fan is mounted inside usally on the back or side of the case and can either blow hot air out or cold air in the casing. Also there is aways a power supply fan witch always draws heat away from the power supply and prevents violent surging to coponets. Last but not always or least there sometimes a grapics (video) card fan than pulls heat off the card, these are usally found in higher end grapic cards.
The power plant includes an internal combustion engine and a direct current electric motor generator.
Extract puuls the air ,exhaust push the air
Depending on design and manufacturer, fan blades are made out of plastic, aluminum, or wood. When redecorating a room, blades on a ceiling fan can be changed out to give a new look to the decor of a room.

Thermostat calls for heat. Induced draft fan motor starts. Vent pressure switch verifies pressure. Simultaneously gas valve opens and ignitor lights burner(ignition varies: hot surface ignitor, electronic spark ignitor, or standing pilot). Flame is sensed. High limit temperature switch is made. Blower fan runs. Thermostat calls for no heat. Gas valves close. Burners shut off. Induced draft fan shuts off. Blower fan put into fan delay(fan blower continues to run). Low limit temperature switch made. Fan blower stops.
Yes the MacBook Pro has an internal cooling fan.
Possibly an internal short on the fan itself, try replacing the fan.
There is likely an internal short circuit in the fan motor.
The question is too vague, It depends on the Tonnage (BTU's) and or the Horsepower of the fan motor.
Yes you can, Take the bay out, find the fan, put the fan in and make sure to use the correct volts to your fan. may want to make it an external switch. as setting it up on your computer may be difficult, couple things you can do. look at your internal fan, buy the same model, mod it, then solder those wires to your internal fan wire and position your fans. (have done this)
get your bald headed momma to replace it.
The HP EliteBook 8530p has only one internal fan, but has heat sinks and other thermal materials to help keep it cool as well. This model has only one internal fan.
YOUR TALKING ABOUT TWO DIFFERENT SYSTEMS, ENGINE COOLING FAN AND AN INTERNAL HEATING/AIR CONDITIONING FAN? WHICH IS IT?

a fuse could be blown if its electric or you may need a new fan check that its getting power before you replace it . and a belt driven fan the internal may be worn out you need a new pulley section
If this is the fan that cools the engine it will run for a while after the car is switched off. If its the internal heater then I haven't a clue.
I have seen this before more than likely your coolant sensor has a internal short and needs to be replaced.
