Astrology is the study of star signs, and reading peoples future through horescopes through 'reading the stars' and the 'current position of the planets / moons.'
It is the theory that your future / luck / fate can be predicted by studying the position of the planets, etc.
in Hinduism it is known to predict the correct time for a couple's wedding...if their stars don't match or are not in the correct position for their wedding / married life to be thought successful, then they are not married until those stars match in order for their married life to be considered successful.
ASTRONOMY is the study of space, galaxies, stars and the journey to find life in space. it is basically the study of the universe and everything in it.
ASTRONOMY is based on Science-everything is scientific
However, Astrology has no basis, it cannot be proven it can just be believed.
Hope that helps...that's only using my general knowledge.
Astrology is the belief that there is a relationship between astronomical events and the events in our own lives. Simply stated, it is superstition with no supportive evidence backing it up.
Astronomy is the scientific study of celestial objects. Astronomy does not make predictions about world events or human lives. Rather, it includes the study of how celestial objects form and change over time; the composition, motion, and physics of these objects; and the formation and development of the universe.
They both begin with the letter "A", and talk about stars and planets. There's no more similarity that that.
Both begin with the same five letters in the same sequence.
There is no other similarity.
Astronomy is different from other science because astronomers study stars, planets, different space rocks, etc. In matter of fact, all science is different from one another. There is astronomy, phsycology, and more! You'll never be able to guess all of them! So, astronomy is different from other science, just like other science is different from astronomy and so on. So, all science is different from one another.
astonomy actually its astronomy...

the study of stars and planets is colled Astronomy
Nothing. If you meant astronomy vs. astrology, see related question They differs by their ears... - especially by the left one! - a joke - as your question!
No.
Astronomy is the study of everything that lies beyond earth's atmosphere. However astrology is similarly related to stars, they are very different. Astrology is the belief that the stars that the sun passes through from earth's perspective effect those who were born at certain times.

Astronomy is the scientific study of different objects in outer space - stars, planets, etc. Astrology is the study of certain mysterious relationships that supposedly exist; for example, it involves horoscopes. Most scientists would agree that astrology is NOT a science; it is usually classified as a pseudoscience.
No. The two things - astronomy and astrology - are quite unrelated.
It's not! They're two different things: Astronomy, the science that deals with the physical universe beyond the earth's atmosphere. Astrology, the study that attempts to interpret the influence of the planets and galaxies on human matters or concerns.
These are completely two different streams of studies. Astrology is the study of positions of imaginary signs and their effects on the human beings. Astronomy on the other hand deals with real heavenly bodies that exists in the universe.
I don't believe in astrology. Astrology and astronomy used to be the same science.
When astronomy is associated with mythology, and myths are created from it, the name becomes astrology.
Astronomy and astrology were the same thing before the modern era, because predictive and divinatory knowledge was one of the motivating factors for astronomical observation. Astronomy is simply the observation and measurement of celestial bodies, while astrology is an attempt to find some sort of "meaning" or "influence" in the planetary positions. The interesting thing is that astrology gave birth to astronomy. Oddly enough, considering that astrology has to do with planetary movements, astrologers no longer look at the sky, and haven't for hundreds of years.
Astronomy did not really benefit the dark ages. Back then they relied more on ASTROLOGY. It was not until the Renaissance that people started devising a difference between astrology and astronomy, and consequently started making headway in astronomy.
The study of the stars using radio telescopes. <><><> And the term is Radio Astronomy, not astrology.
