Any cell phone is good for an elever year old, if he is allowed to get one. Just get him a cheap one lke a juk cell phone from Verizon. I am 1o years old and my mom finally let me have her old phone when she got a new one. A black or blue juke would be good for a boy.

The only reason why I used to have a tracfone was for international calling and texting since there's no extra fees... Bad Idea. There's still better alternatives for international calling such as Vonage. Trac fone sucks! End of story
