Are there fun games for your age?

Well, it depends on what your age is, and what kind of games you are looking for, but I would have to guess, yes. :) In video games, they make a wide range of games from young to old, and depending on the type of game you like, there are some games that are greatly enjoyable. For younger kids, games like Zoombinis are fantastic. They combine learning with fun. I'm 37 and I still like Zoombinis, so they aren't only for kids either. :) There are lots of types of games out there... Tetris, The Sims, Pokemon, or a complex MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game) like World of Warcraft could keep you having fun for a long time. Same for board games. From Candyland (for really young kids who can't read yet) to Chess or Go (very sophisticated, time-proven strategy games), there is also something for everyone. Games like Apples to Apples are good for groups, and games like Blokus are good for two to four people. There are more sophisticated or complex games like Carcassone or Alhambra... but even then, if you take the time to learn them, they are amazingly fun. Even if you only like Science Ficiton or racing or something... there are games like RoboRally that are a blast.

What are some fun board games to play on a rainy day?

Fun board games huh?I would say something like poker, Cluedo, or MonopolyMoreI love RoboRally and Carcassonne. Blokus and Apples to Apples are good too, if you aren't near a specialty game store, and can't wait to order them online. It depends on what kinds of games you like. Twixt and Go are pretty classic strategy games, and if you are including card games, then Double Pinochle is awesome. :) Rummikub is always fun, and Cribbage or Rook or Phase 10 or Canasta (Hand and Foot) are good ones too. There are lots of Trivial Pursuit games out... I like the Star Wars version myself. And how about Settlers of Catan or Alhambra? For battle, you could try Stratego or Risk, and if you are a Word game fanatic, then Scrabble (or even better, Super Scrabble) is a classic... or Rummikub Word, but that one is hard to get in the US.Anyway, there are TONS more, but that is a start. :)Even MoreWell, very good games are, Scattegories, madgab, pictionary, clue and many more!Theres Scattergories, and wordsters, and the Lost Mountain of God and Operation and you can have a Bop-It tournament. Uno-Attack is fun and so is Disney Scene it and regular Scene it. Clue is a fun game too! Some more are mindtrap and life. If you have youngsters they'd like Elefun.some good ones are mouse trap, cadoo , moa hunt , game of life , monoply , cluedo DVD and operation shrek

What are ideal gifts for families?

If you are giving a gift to a family or all the children instead of just one, you may be inclined to spend a bit more. These are some of my favorite options. First, consider a game system. The Wii is extremely interactive and works well with up to four players. You may also choose from the Play Station 2 or 3 and the Xbox or Xbox 360. Games like Guitar Hero allow 2 players to see who can complete the song with the highest score. (You must alsobuy a separate guitar controller.) Second, if the family is religious, consider buying them a family Bible or religious book. This may not get an abundance of use, but it will hold sentimental feelings and religious values that many families would keep tight. Consider personalizing the book if you know them well. Third, board games go over well with both media-concerned parents and fun-seeking children. This would be a good option if you are not spending a large amount of money on the family. Favorite games include: "Scattagories" and "Scrabble" for word-learning as well as "Operation" and "Blokus" for creative movement on a board (or inside a person!). Find a game section in a local store or online and browse. You will find something that fits with the family you are searching for. Fouth, depending on your relationship with the family and other various objectives, consider giving the family checks, savings bonds, or stocks. These won't rack up high on the kids' thank-you notes, but mom and dad will appreciate money for college or retirement. I recommend that you work everything out with a finacially-minded relative or professional before jumping where you might not see.
