In Cardiovascular disease or CVD, the heart and blood vessels are at affect. Cardiovascular disease is a series of diseases that can include aneurysm, angina, atherosclerosis, stroke, cognitive Heart disease, coronary artery disease and myocardial infarction (Heart attack, MI)

In preventing CVD, there are a series of steps you can take:

1. Get regular blood pressure checkups, make sure you keep your blood pressure low by a diet including low sodium

2. Exercise regularly, this helps so much. It helps lower your blood pressure, alleviates stress, and burns unwanted fat

3. Watch your cholesterol levels and fat levels, too much of these will clog up your arteries and put you at a greater risk for CVD

4. Avoid all tobacco smoking and also places where smoke is present. This is not good for your body to inhale. Studies show that about 20% of cases of CVD are caused by smoking, and each year approximately 40,000 nonsmokers are diagnosed with CVD through secondhand smoke and die.
