Depending on your take on dualism (the belief that the mind and body are separate), you will get two answers. If you believe that the mind is separate from the body, it logically follows that sociology is a field of inquiry completely separate from biology. Sociology is then the study of how individual minds is organized in groups, and how they interact. If, on the other hand you reject dualism, i.e. you believe that the mind is not separate from the body, it logically follows that sociology is a subsidiary field of biology. All social and cultural phenomena are abstractions of biological processes, and their interactions with the environment, and biological processes in other biological systems (i.e. other humans).

Most definitions of sociology in respect to biology will probably (by my own unvalidated guesstimation) fall somewhere between these polarities.
