You cannot access webcam on your asus eeepc 710sd?

If you cannot access your webcam a number of things may be the problem. First, check if you have installed the driver necessary for the device to function. Second, search all devices in your machine and ensure the webcam is correctly installed. It may also be a good idea to consult your dealer for help.

What is a good mini laptop brand and please recommend one?

Good netbook brands and models are: Acer Aspire One, Asus EeePc, Dell Inspiron Mini, Samsung NC10, HP Mini-Note, Lenovo Ideapad. All of them except Lenovo have 8..9-inch and 10-inch versions. Lenovo Ideapad is only 10-inch version. You can check prices at the link bellow. Good luck!

How do you play sonic robo blast 2 on eeepc laptop?

'Sonic Robo Blast 2' is indeed an excellent free game, and - luckily - one which is easy to get running on the Eeepc. I downloaded it this morning onto my Eeepc 701 SD (with standard Xandros OS), and so far it's working fine.First, follow the instructions (VERY carefully) about pinning your system and adding extra repos available here:http://wiki.eeeuser.com/addingxandrosreposThen download 'Wine' - a program which allows Windows programs to run in a Linux environment (yes, I know that SRB2 is available in a native Linux form, but for various reasons it would probably be easier/safer to just use the Windows version).Instructions on installing/using Wine can be found here:http://wiki.eeeuser.com/howto:wine?sI'm running the standard Wine 1.0, and SRB2 works fine under it.Finally, download the latest .exe file from 'www.srb2.org' (other sites offer the file for download, but they mostly have older and inferior versions).Right-click on the .exe file and type 'wine' into the 'Open With' field.Initially, I tried unpacking the file into the standard Linux 'Z: Drive', but experienced some major program issues. However, after removing and reinstalling it in Wine's virtual 'C: Drive' (as recommended in the above Wiki article), it now works fine. There do seem to be some minor issues:The music seems distorted, but can be safely turned off without detracting from the game's playability.Every 30 seconds or so the frame-rate inexplicably drops off for a fraction of a second.Once or twice their have been peculiar computer freezes while running the game. However, these are minor issues that have yet to interfere with my enjoyment of Sonic Robo Blast 2.

Is there a really good inexpensive e-book reader?

I think all dedicated ebook readers are very expensive, their prices are prohibitive to the average consumer. But the next best thing would be a relatively cheap subnotebook (EeePC series, HP MiniNote, Libretto U100). Aside from being able to do basic to advanced PC tasks, it can be used as an ebook reader with an Adobe PDF reader or any similar software. Subnotebooks weigh in the 1 kg region, plus or minus a few 100 grams. It may be a bit cumbersome to use it in bed or in your favorite couch, but hey, you'll get the hang of it after finishing a chapter of your ebook. intermezzo http://intermezzo.com.ph

What is the worst computer ever?

Packard Bell. Their PCs were of bad quality (they cut costs in many ways), the sound cards had lots of issues (as they put them on the same ISA cards as the MODEMS!), and the motherboards were custom, so you could not install any ATX motherboard in there. In fact, they even made their PCs with USED parts! Their support was terrible (and unhelpful) too. The lines were always busy, and repairs took forever, only for them to break again. They pulled out from the US in 2000, as their sales fell due to the terrible quality of their PCs. However, they still sell PCs in Europe, and Acer, another bad PC company, now makes PCs under the Packard Bell brand name overseas.

What age do you have to be to have a netbook?

I let my one year old nephew play with my eeepc and he ripped the keys off. He is about 3 now and my sister said he figured out how to play the Linux games on it she had without her having to show him. If a child did not grow up around laptops I wouldn't recommend it till they are around 5-8 though. There is no age restriction on owning a netbook For age group of 12-22 year old, I would recommend to go for a Netbook, because it comes in small size, light weight and a good learning for the kid as well in early age and moreover Netbooks are much lesser in price as compare to Laptops. I'd my first Netbook of Dell and continuing the same which is of Intel atom based processors and it is a great little piece of technology and also the Intel brand associated to it. Being a lightweight and easy to take anywhere you can enjoy reading eBooks, playing games and many other work that is associated with your work. Intel Netbooks is much lesser price as compare with Laptop and with a great battery life (approx. to 10- 12 Hrs.) and also physical keyboard which will help in typing.
