Fuel System Treatments clean your entire fuel system. They can reduce emissions, restore performance, and help protect the environment by reducing hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide by over 60%.
On a tier four Cummins in a dodge, the def system allows for less fuel usage for exhaust after treatment.
If you are talking about a Fuel Injector and fuel system cleaner, yes, I recommend you treat your fuel system at least once a year. I recommend Greased Lightning fuel system cleaner. Neither one is cheap but they are very good. The cheap stuff is worthless.
Fuel System Treatments clean your entire fuel system. They can Reduces emissions, Restores performance, and help protect the environment by reducing hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide by over 60%. I used Greased Lightning's Fuel System Treatment and it Increased my Fuel Mileage! If you use one... I highly recommend Greased Lightning.
As long as your fuel treatment contains a detergent. Xtreme Fuel Treatment contains a detergent and a demulisifier and polymerization dispersants to clean injectors, separate water and break up sludge.
I have tried the Greased Lightning's Fuel System Treatment and it worked for improving my gas mileage much better then Slick 50, Lucass, and Seafoam combined. It helped solve some of my engine noise and was really easy to use. I would recommend it and would not buy any other product after using this one.
Does not matter as it will mix with the fuel either way you do it.
It really depends on what you're trying to do. They each have different effects. Octane booster is just a bunch of chemicals that raise the flash point of the gasoline, which can help reduce premature detonation in high-compression engines, and help reduce knock. Fuel system treatment is usually chemicals that clean out the inside of your fuel lines and injectors. Generally, it is not recommended to use either one unless there is a need for it.
cleans the fuel system...
add a good fuel treatment such as star tron and run it through the system for 10 to 15 min to ensure it is through the entire fuel system and store it in a dry place and you should be good to go. i recommend the star tron because it is a stablizer, water treatment and ethonol fix so you get several treatments in 1 bottle.
I usually use the "Greased Lightning Fuel System Treatment" that i get at O'Riellys. I use it every three tanks (week) and it helps to keep my mpg > 22.
Not unless you are having problems. If you want to make sure the injectors are clean just add a can of Seafoam Engine Treatment or Techron Fuel System Cleaner to a full tank of fuel. Both are excellent products.
