Well to begin with, meat must be halal for a Muslim to eat it. This means the animal must have been slaughterd according to Islamic guidelines after having proclaimed the name of God in the process. This excludes any meat from a pig as this is completely prohibited.

This also applies to any other food products which used animal by products in the process. In particular sweets with Gelatin in them are most likely not to be halal. However there are some which are and will most likely to contain the halal association logo on the pack.

Another aspect is ensuring that your clothing and appearance is modest and coincides with the Qurans expectation. For women, in the presence of men who are not of immediate relation to her must cover up so that only her face, hands and feet are visible. For men they must cover at the very least the area between their navel and lower thigh.

Overall a halal lifestyle is abiding by the quran, following Muhammad (sws) hadiths and sunnahs, praying five times a day, and keeping up awareness of Allah.

I hope this helped, if you have any further questions you may email me JonasDevonneLovato@gmail.com
