Yes, hydrocortizone cream is for topical (external) use only.
If it is not a rash, just a regular itch, itch it, not too hard. If it persists, try anti-itch cream.
if it feels like a rash and you havent put any medicine or cream on it, it is probably eczema, and you sould put hydrocortizone on it
Hydrocortisone cream is not a sensible choice to assist in wound healing. Instead, keep the lesions covered and use a mild soap. Make sure you're eating well, and avoid sun exposure.
You may have developed an allergic reaction to the clothes detergent or bath soap you use. Hydrocortizone cream or any anti-itching crean may help temporarily, but you might want to consult your doctor.
After shaving legs, armpits, bikini area, put hydrocortizone cream on, it works great, it prevents irritation and bumps...:D
Hydrocortizone cream is safe to put on a shingles rash. You can also get prescription Lidocane from you doctor to apply. Avoid Benadryl as it can cause the rash to worsen in some people. Also avoid Bagbalm as it causes a burning sensation.
A mosquito bite is not a disease which can be cured. However, there are many things you can buy (Stingose, Rubbing Alcohol, Tea Tree Oil, Vinegar) which all provide nothing but momentary (if that) relief. calimine lotion ,Aloe-Vera and hydrocortizone cream will help it heal faster. don't itch the bites because they can break, scab, or become infected hope i helped
I have heard mixed things from vets about giving Benadryl to canines. From what I have been told, a lot of it has to do with the size of your dog. Their systems are totally different than ours, so dosing per weight would not be the same either. It really is best to go to the vet and find out what is causing the problem. They may even be able to hook you up with meds that will work better on your dogs symptoms than anything you may able to self medicate him/her with.
No, steroid creams may make it look a little better for a day or two, but it will soon worsen. Ringworm is a fungus, and Cortizone 10 is basically an anti-inflammatory - it won't cure a fungal infection. Talk to your pharmacist about over the counter treatment for ringworm.
I read a study that said both drug are affective, but Butenafine heals faster. It would make sense (though I've never tried it) if one switched between them day to day. That way the infection wouldn't build up a resistance to either drug. If the rash is peeling, it may help to mix in some Hydrocortizone cream. And perhaps some Neosporen at times.
Light cream is sweet cream with less butterfat than heavy cream. I think in the UK light cream is called single cream and heavy cream is double or whipping cream.
