I want to know the exact date the moon is furthest away from the earth.
The sun......
It is called a supermoon by bharat date 20/3/2011 Yes, its called a supermoon in the popular terms, but in the technical or scientific terms it called being in the perigee phase of its orbit. When the moon is furthest away from the earth it is in the apogee phase of its orbit.
Moon is closest (¼ million miles), then the Sun (93 million miles), then the stars are the furthest (trillions of miles).
The moon is said to be at its Perigee when at its closest point to the Earth, Apogee when at its furthest point. Perigee and Apogee can also be used for other objects when orbiting about the Earth. If we talk about objects orbiting the sun (such as the planets) we use the term Perihelion and Aphelion (the helion part coming from the latin name of helios for the sun). If the perigee coincides with a full moon, we get a `supermoon`. The moon is at its largest circumference as it is at its closest, and is also full.

The point in the Moon's orbit where it is furthest from the Earth is called the apogee.

new moon
To the moon 1969.
An eclipse is when three items in space are in a line. So on earth there is an eclipse when it is furthest away and then is moon and then is sun - so moon is in the middle and is blocking out the sun. If on moon there is eclipse when earth is in front of sun. Or on other planets and their moons, and so on.
It's still called the Earth
Neptune...
It is called Apsis. The point in the moon's orbit where that happens is the apogee of the orbit.
