What is making a grinding clicking noise when you turn left or right on your 1999 dodge ram 4x4?

I recently experienced a similar sound. It turned out to be the driver's side front wheel bearing. After jacking up the front end, I was able to rock the wheel back and forth by grabbing the top and bottom of the wheel. I have a 2005 Ram 1500.
