this was my wedding's, all are different. first, cocktail hour, drinks, finger foods like cheese & fruit, stuffed mushrooms, franks in blankets, apps, etc. usually buffet style and waiters walking around with trays (my personal favorite part of the wedding meal, so much variety) then everyone sits at tables with bread and salad, then either a pasta or a fruit cup comes out, depending on the season or preference (we chose a fruit cup, pasta seemed too filling right before a meal) then lemon sorbet to "cleanse the pallate" (that's Italian.) my second favorite. then, main course, usually a choice between steak, fish, chicken, or veggies, then cake, coffee, and dessert. The champagne toasts could be at any time during the meal. We had ours during the salad. Hope this was helpful!
