Its a most common fault on Peugeot. It would be better if you bought another car because these problems get fixed then come back. U r talking about 500£ to get fixed. Best to get rid of it. I paid £450 for parts and labor and still there on my 307 so i got rid of it for a Ford Mondeo Hope this helps
it is the engine managment light indecating a fault
It is the light for Engine auto diagnosis. If it flashes or stays on it means fault in the fuel injection, ignition or antipollution system. Needs attention at a garage.
This symbol is the engine management light. It means that there is a fault somewhere on the car, a written warning of the fault will then usually flah up where you digital clock dial is.
engine fault/oil low/water low .brake fault
This could possibly be the engine management light if so it means the system has detected a fault. The car needs to be connected to diagnostic equipment for fault diagnosis and the light to be re set.

There is a fault, get it to you nearest Peugeot dealership without delay...I mean like yesterday, the SRS (Airbag) could save your life, you need to confirm that it's working correctly, before it's too late...god forbid
Anti pollution fault is a generic fault I had an Anti pollution fault on my peugeot 307 cc 2.0. I scanned it and it said it was a ignition coil cylinder no 2 and 3 misfiring. I changed Ignition coil and spark plugs my self and my car is driving like a dream now. so take it for diagnostics it will tell you exactly what is problem. Buy your self a scanner elm 327 is the cheapest. it costs about R600 to scan a car.
