The Metis are a group of people in Canada who are descended from the marriages of members of aboriginal people of Canada (such as the Cree, Ojibway, Algonquin, Saulteaux, Menominee, Mi'kmaq, Maliseet) to Europeans. Their music is also a blend of aboriginal and European music, made with the fiddle, the concertina, the harmonica, the hand drum, the mouth harp, and finger instruments such as bones or spoons.
