Nuclear energy is nearly the same as coal energy, in that they both use heat to boil water and use the vapour from this to spin turbines creating electricity. The difference is that they us different heat sources. In nuclear energy, the heat source is radioactive elements. Radioactive materials have chemical reactions which in the process create a lot of energy, mostly heat.

The ways it negatively affects us are simple. First of all when they are done with radioactive elements, they have to dispose of the waste byproducts. So they put them in lead barrels and bury them. The waste is not producing heat, but is still radioactive; so if it leaks it could cause heaps of damage. The other reason we might be negatively affected is if an accident happened...think about Chernobyl or more recently Japan.

Other than that nuclear energy is a really clean, efficient and useful energy source, as opposed to coal.

What is the connection between metal and magnetism?

There is positive and negative. The positive energy can't connect to a another positive there's a force between them that's doesn't let them connect. Same with negative energy it has to connect to positive not negative.
