6:oo position on cap
Try putting the number one piston on the top of the stroke.
There is no such number. Given any number bigger than 258, it is always possible to find a number that is nearer to 258 and bigger than it. So that number would have a better claim to be next. But then it is possible to find another number that is nearer to 258 and bigger than that one and so the newest number has a better claim. And so on.
With some modification it could be done The blocks are nearly the same. If you use the 258 intake and distributor in the 4.0; the only part that will need modifying is the exhaust from the manifold. I did one in a weekend using a 727 from a 91 wagoneer and a 02 4.0 engine. I used the 258 intake, carb, and distributor. I used the old v belt system to make it easy. It's easier to mod up an engine that's already running than making it work later.
Doesn't have one. It is a coil on plug system.
where is number one on a vortex 4.3 v-6 distributor cap
Integra Telecom was the number one software distributor in the United States in 2009. Integra telecom was honored my Mitel on July 22, 2009. The number one software distributor may have changed over the years.
I cannot answer this question.
There is a break in the electric power trail to the plugs. More than likely there is corrosion on the distributor cap where the points of metal connect.
number one wire will point to the number one cylinder
Yes the rotor should be pointing to the #1 cylinder when you are installing the distributor.
Bring number one piston on compression stroke up to TDC. Drop distributor in so that the rotor points to the number one pin inside the distributor cap. The clamp at the base of the distributor only goes one way so there is no timing with a light necessary, the ECM takes care of that.
It could be any one of the contacts. When the distributor was put in, depending on what type of motor it is, number one could be anywhere. You will need to bring number one cylinder to top dead center on the compression stroke and see where the rotor is pointing. That will be number one and set the rest of the plugs from that.
