African tribes were all to happy to sell off their defeated enemies to foreigners, so they could never return. Because it was such a cheap endeavor and there were many ununited people, Africa became a very good source. The Americas were sparely populated and rich in Natural Resources, but there was not enough labor to make us of it. Since more labor meant more profit, some plantations benefited greatly from this. Also, due to the great amount of open space and resources, families were often quite large. Slaves were often taken into these large families to help raise and teach children.
