You may mean "pizza", which is pronounced like "pitza"? Pizza in America is also called Pizza Pie, sometimes shortened to just "Pie", and in Connecticut and other New England areas you see it called Abizza (pronounced ah-BEETS). It is an Italian flavored food usually made with a flat, usually round bread topped with tomato sauce or tomatoes, Italian spices, and cheese (usually mozzarella--pronounced "motz-a-REL-a" or sometimes shortened and pronounced "mootz" by Italian Americans) and then the pizza is baked. There are very many additions and variations in toppings. Another variation is to use a white sauce instead of the tomato sauce. The white sauce is usually made with mozzarella, olive oil, and ricotta cheese (ricotta "ri-COT-a" is also often shortened and pronounced "ri-GOT"). It is then topped with toppings similar to the tomato-sauced pizza. In New England a white pizza topped with fresh clams is very popular. Pepe's Pizza in New Haven, CT, near Yale University, is famous for its Clam Pizza. But Pepe's other pizzas are also well known and very popular. It is one of the oldest operating "Pizza Parlors" (aka "Pizzerias") in America, started in the 1920's. In the U.S. there are also many "fast food" pizza restaurants, for example, Pizza Hut, Domino's, Little Caesar's, Papa John's. Well that depends on the type of loaf the slice was cut from and the angle of the slice as compared to the long axis of the loaf. But with shop purchased pre-sliced bread the dimensions are ROUGHLY 10cm * 11cm and up to 1cm thick.[The law usually relates to the overall weight of the bread loaf being sold rather than to the dimensions of the baking tin/loaf so I don't think there is a standard for a slice]
