It is a good idea to drive the car long enough to completely heat up the catalytic converter and the rest of the exhaust system before running the test. This will ensure that the exhaust system is as clean as it can be ans would improve your chances of passing the test.
if you are sitting in the driver seat it will be at your left knee on the lower driver
Check the distibutor model and pickup coil .
Pull off the starter and have it checked out. I bought a new from auto zone my 93 and it turned over and ran a couple of times and quit but it would start if i let it sit for awhile. If you have to buy one make sure they test it first don't take there word.
check pickup coil inside the flywheel rt. side as sitting on it the pickup is on the outside of the flywheel but the problem is usually the stator inside the flywheel and is sold as a set.
The switches are in the bottom of the driver and passenger front seat. When someone is sitting in it, it's on.
most likely in the fuel tank.
i just had mine replaced by a mechanic and he told me it was sitting on top of camshaft
