I have a 2002 and I don't think the 2003 is much different. It's the easiest thing in the world to install and the kit was only around $80 and that was air shipped from Japan. You just get a little green module about the size of a pager and 2 remotes in a box. In the center console in the dash, where the caddy is, that little pocket actually comes out after removing a few screws to reveal the wiring of the car behind it. (The instruction manual that comes with the kit has pictures of how to do this.) You simply clip the module to a matching colored plug, replace the console panel and your done. I used the manufacturers kit to do this and it took me about 15 minutes total to complete (and I'm a girl). I'm not sure it's the same with an aftermarket kit. Good Luck!
It was an option that was available. Some have it and some don't.
Yes, just got to the Honda website (www.honda.com, then go to OwnerLink) and you can search for accessories specific to your vehicle. The keyless entry system for the 2003 Honda Civic LX coupe costs about $250 without installation; it's $350 installed. The accessories are available for purchase through the Honda online store as well.

I found an Internet site which says how to program the keyless entry remote. But there is an error: this procedure is good for Elantra 2001 to 2003. Elantra 2004 must be programmed by the dealer. http://car.justanswer.com/hyundai/n1kw-program-remote-entry-hyundai-2004

Hold the lock and unlock buttons simultaneously for 7 to 10 seconds. The locking mechanism on your car should activate and your remote should be synchronized. Just did this on my 2003 Tahoe. You definitely do have to resynchronize our keyless entry remote after changing the battery. The car manual clearly states that you need to (although it doesn't say how).
first of all, you cannot program the key individually..it need to be taken to the dealership or the company which the car was purchased.
