On the front of the engine under the two ignition coils, follow the plug wires and under the coils is the ignition module. Changed mine twice . Works better now.
If you look at the right side of the distributor just under the cap you will see 2 sets of electrical wires that plug into the ignition module. Remove the cap and rotor and you will see it. There are 2 small screews that hold it in.
The ignition module is located under the three ignition coils. The same bolts that hold the coils in place also retain the module to the mounting bracket. To find the coils, follow the ignition wires from the front of the engine to where they attach at the rear. The wires clip to the coils.
Under the dizzy cap, a black square opposite the coil, it has 3 wires
Are you referring to spark plug wires
The ignition module is a small electrical part approx 3/4" x 1" that is located in the distributor by removing the distributor cap and looking for this small part that has about 4 wires going to it.
Make sure the heavy red and black wires go directly to the battery. Make sure the small red wire has 12 volts while cranking as this turns on the ignition. You will either use the magnetic pickup wires (purple/green) or the white points wire to trigger the ignition. This will depend on what type of vehicle you have. The orange and black wires go to the coil- they should be the only wires on the coil.
It is located under the hood, approximately centered on the firewall, with a lot of wires going to it.
More than likely it needs spark plugs and new ignition wires.
under the coil packs and the coil packs are connected to the spark plug wires
On the top/ middle of the engine under the ignition wires. Two ten mm nuts hold the wires on Remove the nuts and pop of the wires....the plugs are in those 4 holes
REMOVAL PROCEDURE Remove the engine cover. Disconnect the spark plug wires at the ignition coils. Disconnect the ignition coil harness connector. Remove the ignition coil mounting bolts.
