Distemper is bad when they are pups. Parvo is bad. Rabies, of course. See your vet and they have vaccinations that should give your pet a long happy life. After that it's usually cars and fights with other animals that give the most worries. Sometimes neighbors too. I had a dog shot one time for killing one of his chickens. The dog lived, but I think it shortened his life in the end. The police wouldn't do anything about it because of an old outdated law that was still on the books.

I just read that hip issues don't affect Weims very frequently. I'll say that my girl Caroline has had a slew of digestive/allergy issues including loose stool, dry rashy skin, and ear infections. Didn't know if anyone else had these problems, but I haven't really heard much of this type so far. I live near Charlotte NC and I think a lot of dogs in this area suffer from seasonal Allergies. We switched her to a raw diet and only deal with occasional eye gunk now.
