A narrow chord blade weighs less because of the less massive cross section but their vibration frequency is too low to operate successfully without the use of a mid span shroud to provide added stiffness. Elimination of the mid span shroud increases the fan performance/efficiency.
RR was one of the first to design a successful wide chord blade and got around the weight penalty by developing a partially hollow titanium blade design. P&W followed suit. GE chose to solve the weight penalty by developing epoxy/graphite fan blades.
a narrow body aircraft have a single aisle while the wide body aircraft have two aisles.
The Singapore Airlines fleet features exclusively wide-body aircraft from three aircraft.
Wide body aircraft have more than one aisle
You probably mean "wide body aircraft". See Wikipedia. [tty]
There are only few airlines has wide body only fleet, such as Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific.
The wide blade is the neutral and the narrow one is the hot.
In North America the narrow blade is the "hot", the wide blade is the neutral and the U shaped blade is the ground.
I dont know the answer to this question so go and read books and get smart. i think the wider blade is wider and the narrow blade is narrower.
narrow blades flex.
Wide bodied means pretty much what it says. Examples of wide-bodied aircraft are the Boeing 767 and Boeing 777. In these aircraft, there are generally 3 vertical rows of seats. Usually 3 seats running up the left side, 4 seats up the middle, and 3 seats up the right side.
Assuming you mean the aircraft Airbus A330- it's197ft10in(60.3m) wide from wing-tip to wing-tip.
The sharp side is opposite where you would normally expect it, while the normal cutting side, is the wide unsharpened portion of the blade.
