In my opinion:
The Egypt that Jesus leads us out of is the inability to achieve salvation. Jesus enabled people to go to heaven. However, unlike the story of the Jews' escape from Egypt, not all of us will escape to paradise. We must give to the least of his people is he is to save us.
No, Jesus had to get crucified to save us from sin. It was a better choice than letting us not exist and have sin. From now till forever we should respect Jesus!

Joseph was warned in a dream to take the young child and his mother and flee to Egypt untill he hears from God again. (Matthew 2.13) So "the holy family" that fled to Egypt, were Joseph and Mary and Jesus.
