correct yes there is engine timing on a mark 2 golf, as with all cars funnily enough.
did you use the ecu that was with the new engine as the engine setup would have been different.
At idle, around 15psi. Or roughly 10psi for every 1,000rpm the engine is at (ie 2500rpm you should have at least 25psi)

yes...but you have to change and modify a few engine mounts and so on. And modify or change the whole el-wiring in the car
