This isn't as easy as you would think. Irish does not take the same structure as English for mine.

In Irish My = Mo i.e mo leabhar , my book

however to say the book is mine

is liom an leabhar ( is lom an lower ) which literally means it is with me the book .

If you wished to emphasise the fact that it is yours i.e The book is MINE!

then you wouldn't put stress on Is liom or say it louder , you would say

Is liomsa mo leabhar .
