It is the thickness of brake pads when they are new form factory.
It depends on the vehicle type, but generally - when your brake pad thickness is 2 mm it is time to change the brake pad.
It depends if 4 WD or just FWD and what year model Generally: FRONT: Brake pad minimum thickness 3.0 mm (0.118 inch) Brake pad maximum taper wear (in any direction) 3.0 mm (0.118 inch) Brake disc minimum thickness (disc-drum system) 22 mm (0.866 inch) Brake disc minimum thickness (4-wheel disc brake system) 24 mm (0.944 inch) REAR: Brake Pad Brake pad minimum thickness 3.0 mm (0.118 inch) Brake pad maximum taper wear (in any direction) 3.0 mm (0.118 inch) Brake Disc Brake disc minimum thickness 11.0 mm (0.433 inch)
The Mazda 3 is 2mm, probably the same - 2mm
The factory Honda pads. (OEM)
Just buy new brake pads.
about 5mm then after that they will get hot and squeak
11mm according to Bentley Manual
3mm
As long as you ask for OEM quality brake pads you will have quality. EBC, Wagner, & Brembo all make excellent pads.
Minimum disc thickness vented front 24.6mm .Minimum disc thickness rear 16.6mm. min pad thickness front & rear 1mm
I would replce at about 4mm to keep the pad from comming off the backing plate and causing damage.
A brake wear rating of 10B on a Pennsylvania state inspection report refers to the condition of the brake lining. The rating is given based on the thickness of the brake lining, with 10 indicating that the lining has 10/32-inch or more thickness, which is considered to be in good condition. The letter "B" denotes that the brakes have been inspected and found to be in satisfactory condition, without any need for immediate repair or replacement.
