Giovanni Luzzi was an Italian-speaking Swiss who in 1911 produced what has become the standard Protestant translation of the New Testament into Italian.
Since the Italian protestant community is relatively small Luzzi is much prized for his contribution, and his Bible has assured sales into its niche. The revisions which have been necessary since its publication are non-controversial, reflecting minor changes in the Italian language since Luzzi's day, rather than doctrinal or semantic confusion.
