That's more or less a do it by feel type thing. Normally doesn't take more than four or five turns with a 3/8 drive ratchet after you've got it started.
Start the threads of the plug, tighten it until it starts snugging up, then another 1/4 turn and it should be good. Doesn't have to be really tight, just threaded in and seated. kind of like an oil filter.
