What is the advantages and disadvantages of Internet to the user?

The category says 'Computer Games' so I'll just list a few for those, then a few for general internet.

As far as computer games go, advantages include: More variation, playing with friends, instead of just learning to beat the computer you learn to create new strategies, you can make new friends.

Disadvantages: If you're new to a game and try playing it online you'll get destroyed, there are user created hacks, it can get laggy.

And for general internet:

-Quick access to information, and media

-Socialize with existing friends and make new ones

-Pay for things from your home

-Online data storage

Disadvantages

-Information is often inaccurate, as it's all user based. The internet tends to operate on a 'majority rules' basis, so if the majority of people are saying something is correct, then that's way the internet will portray it. This fails to account for the fact that the majority of people aren't using original research or first hand experience, just regurgitating what they heard from someone else.

-Malware such as virus' can cost you thousands of dollars

-You'll probably spend too much time on the computer
