What is the value of a savage sporter cal 32-20 pat 1905 1915 1917
It could be worth up to about $300 depending on condition and clips.
Could you please tell me the value of a 1917, Savage Hornet 23D sporter. Thank you Rosemary The Savage model 23D is valued at between 140-250 dollars, for a rifle showing between 60%-90% of its original finish, and having a good bore.I hope this helps Mary.
Mine is stamped on the barrel as first being patented Nov 28 1905, last date of Nov 20 1917. I'm trying desperatly to find a clip for it, but there is no Model # anywhere. Brownells has not even been able to help. My e-mail is tfl4981@blackfoot.net if anyone can help. Thanks

Does not exist. However, a 22 LR does and it would be in the 10-500 USD range.
$12.57 From what i have read, one in fair condition can sell for about $150 and one in good condition can bring as much as $250.

Under the barrel on the front of the lower frame
While I cannot say the exact year of production,I can say that the savage model 1907 was made from 1910-1917.
That '1917' marking you are seeing is a patent date. If you notice, it also says 'SAVAGE SPORTER' just to the right of that. The gun is correctly identified as the Model 23B. If the gun is in really nice condition, and UNALTERED, it would realize $400 pretty easily. Unfortunately, most of these gun have had some type of work done in the past - scopes mounted, sights replaced, goofy checkering cut into the stock with a pocketknife - which lower the value considerably. sales@countrygunsmith.net
