I have one marked "model 155" has no serial # and was purchased in 1964
THIS Glenfield MOD 50 BOLT ACTION SHOTGUN WAS MANUFACTURED 1966-1972. I HAVE ONE AND ALSO CANNOT LOCATE THE SERIAL NUMBER.
Rifle or shotgun? What type of action; bolt, pump, semiauto, lever? What caliber or gauge?
That's not a serial number- it is a model number. Made prior to 1968. serial numbers not required- and cannot be dated for that reason. Sorry.
Savage Arms
Typically they are stamped on the receiver of the auto and pump action shotguns either on the bottom or the side. Low and moderate priced bolt action shotguns produced in the 1940's and 50's may not have had serial numbers. Later bolt action guns had the serial number stamped on the receiver, usually the side. Serial numbers were not mandated until 1968. You may not have one.
Impossible to answer without the name of the maker and serial number, even then, it will depend on if data has been published
I have no idea of what it is?Please describe the Winchester firearm with this serial number. Is it a rifle, shotgun? Is it a lever action, pump action,semi-auto,or bolt action? What caliber is it?what gauge is it(if a shotgun)?describe the barrel length. All this is required to get a answer to your question.
what is a J C Higgins Model 583.9 20 gauge worth
Your serial number indicates that your Glenfield model 20 bolt action was made in the year 1980.
A firearm cannot be identified by the serial number alone.
IF they were made prior to 1965 they have no serial number
It sounds to me that you have a Browning T-bolt rifle in 22cal that was made in the year 1969.But the serial number should read 69X then the serial number.
